ECE 462 (Spring 2005) - Homework 6 Posted March 4 Due in class on March 11 Grading policy Answers to only a subset of the questions will be graded for correctness of the answer and the procedure. Credit will be granted for attempting the other questions. Readings: Sections 6.10, 6.11, 6.12, Problem numbers below refer to the textbook by McCluskey. (A) Consider the circuit in Figure P6.24 (in the problem set for Chapter 6). Using truth tables for the fault-free circuit, and for the circuit with lead h stuck-at-0, determine all tests for h stuck-at-0 fault. Repeat the same process to determine all the tests for the circuit with lead g stuck-at-0. (B) Consider the circuit in Figure P6.24 (in the problem set). Using the Boolean difference method, determine all tests for h stuck-at-1 fault. (C) Consider the circuit in Figure P6.24 (in the problem set). Using the path sensitization method, determine one test each for h stuck-at-0 and g stuck-at-1 faults. If a test cannot be determined using the path sensitization method, state so. (D) For the circuit in figure 6.12-2 (on page 255) consider only the single stuck-at-1 faults on all the leads in the circuit. Partition these faults into the smallest number of equivalence classes. (E) For the function in problem 6.1(e) determine a hazard-free minimal sum using the tabular method in Section 6.10. You may determine the prime implicants using any method of your choice.
